Character Analysis

These are all well know teen American actresses. They are all examples of the type of actress I would like to play the role of 'Lisa' in my opening scene.

Feedback From Family & Friends

1. Ebenezer
Ebenezer said that he liked the concept of the clip however he wanted me to make the genre of the movie more specific.

2.Blanche
Blanche likes the cliffhanger that will appear at the end. She said that the cliffhanger makes her want to watch the rest of the film. However she disliked how it seemed familiar and common and wanted me to make sure that it was different.

3.Hannah
Hannah said she would have liked to see why the character 'Lisa' was in shock. However she like the idea of the cliffhanger.

4. Kevin
Kevin was uncertain of the genre of the film. He thought that it was a horror. Therefore Kevin urged me to make the genre of the film clear in that openeing scene.

5.Michael
Michael  also said that he liked the cliff hanger at the end but didnt feel the clip would show that suspense.

My New & Final Idea

We see the main character, Lisa walking. We the viewers are uncertain of where she is going. Lisa constantly keeps looking at piece of paper which has the address of her destination. She looks around at the houses. The viewers are able to see that she is not familiar with the area she's in.

We then see her arrive at her destination, which is a house. She approaches the house and knocks the door several times. No one responds to the knocking and just as she is about to turn around and go back, someone opens the door. We the viewers dont see who it is but Lisa does.

Changes

Due to the lack of actors willing to participate, I have had to change my opening sequence.

BBFC

1.What is the BBFC?
The British Board of Film Classifications is an independent, non-governmental organisation which is responsible for the classifications in films, videos, games and DVDs. The BBFC was set up in 1912 by the film industry as an independent body to bring a degree of uniformity to the classification of film nationality. In 1984 Parliament passed the Video Recordings Act. This act stated that, subject to certain exemptions, video recordings offered for sale or hire commercially in the UK must be classified by an authority designated by the Secretary of State. The BBFC is a not for profit organisation, and its fees are adjusted only as required to cover its costs. Its income is derived solely from the fees it charges for its services, calculated by measuring the running time of films or DVDs submitted for classification.

2. What are the BBFC logos?
What do they mean?

Character Analysis

I have not been able to find actors for my two minute sequence. Therefore, I have had to think of actors who represent the kind of actor I'm looking for, for my two minute opening scene.

John Boyega

John Boyega is a young british-nigerian actor who is known for his roles in Attack the Block and My Murder.
My Murder was a short drama which was based on a real story of a boy (Shakilus Townsend)  who was led to his death by a girl.
For my two minute opening scene I would like the main character to have all the characteristics that John Boyega had when playing Shakilus Townsend.

Malcolm Kamulete

Malcolm Kamulete is a young british actor and is known for his role as Ra'nele in Top Boy.
